100 PIEDS COMANCHE VERDIER VPLP

This new 100 footer is signed by VPLP – VERDIER. A project that required no fewer than 15,000 hours of collaboration.

The Comanche 100 footer was keeled, masted and launched on Saturday 27th September 2014 in Newport, Rhode Island, USA.

  • Research of dynamics balances thanks to appendages
  • Testing tank for the hull and foils
  • Development of a parametric CAO 3D model
  • Development of a parametric model to calculate composite structures (Nastran)
  • Ergonomic research for deck plans / sails plans; construction of models on scale 1 of the deck
  • Development of a research and development programme for aero
  • Development of a physical model (Velocity Prediction Program) based on our knowledge acquired with Team New Zealand
  • Creation of batches of construction plans and parametric weight analysis and associated to stability criteria
  • Systems mechanics and integration
  • Conformity to safety standards
